"My partner and I were blown away by Kristen's customer service and professionalism. We hired her to do a maternity photo session this winter. I was nervous about doing the shoot outside as the weather is quite unpredictable in February, so Kristen found us a beautiful studio in downtown Vancouver instead. “I found Kristen through the internet, as I am located in the States and she is located in Canada. Being this was our wedding, I was slightly nervous having found her on the internet and being that I was unable to meet with Kristen in person before the wedding due to our locations, however we talked multiple times and she immediately made me feel like I had the made the best decision ever. Her prices are reasonable for the type of service, hard work and beautiful pictures she creates. On our wedding day, she was on time, early actually, and immediately got started which was so appreciated considering so much else was going on. She was going back and forth between my husband and my room getting ready, however she didn’t miss a thing. I was considering other photographers that had 2 photog’s included in the package, however with Kristen’s amazing skills it was like we had multiple photographers there on the day (and she did have an assistant helping). I received multiple comments from the wedding party, which was huge, how appreciated it was that she was able to control everyone and get everyone in their spots, without wasting a lot of time. So many times a photographer can lose control of the crowd, however Kristen managed this and kept control in the nicest way! She was so sweet, fun to work with and the pictures turned out amazing, in our opinion. She suggested different poses, locations to shoot, and was honest with what she thought would look good. "When Mike and I were looking for a wedding photographer for our special day, we had two major priorities: We wanted to feel genuinely at ease in his/her presence, and we wanted for them to feel at ease capturing the more candid moments throughout the day-not only excel with the posed portrait photos. We had no idea what to expect when we met with Kristen Borelli a year and a half ago, all we knew is we liked the look of her photos on her website, and that she offered a reasonable rate. We had no intention at the time of doing engagement shots, or of booking so early on in our planning process. It turns out we are lucky we did, as her summer booked up super early on! The three of us sat down together for a chat, and we were immediately taken with her ability to put us at ease in her presence. She had a warm demeanour, fun energy, and professional attitude. We connected with her straight away, and not only did we walk away excited and comfortable with booking her services for our wedding day, but we even decided to try out some engagement shots after all! We were over the moon happy that we did, because they turned out so wonderfully. The photos were so creatively shot, but more than that we were able to get an idea of what it would feel like to be in front of the camera as a couple with her behind the lens. There was so much of the wedding planning process that was daunting, but having Kristen there to answer our questions and to put our trust in alleviated a lot of it. The day of our mountain wedding was beautiful, but was incredibly sweltering in 35 degree heat and no wind. I never once heard Kristen complain throughout the day, and I can't imagine carrying around a heavy camera and moving to catch every angle the way she does in that heat! We had various family members comment on her level of professionalism and moving everything along for the family photos to get it done on time but still get all the shots. We knew we would have beautiful wedding photos, but we truly didn't know to what extent until we received them soon afterward (in a very cutely wrapped package I might add!) My husband and I sat there and watched our slideshow and looked through our photos and we were out of this world happy with what we were seeing. I know people say it's important to have a good wedding photographer, but we had no idea how true it was until we saw these and were fully reliving every moment of that amazing day. The cliche is true, you really DO miss so much of it being the bride and groom and trying to make sure everything goes as planned, plus trying to be hosts! We can't imagine not having these creatively stunning photos to look back on that day. We continue to receive countless compliments on them from family to strangers! People often comment at her ability to capture life, emotion and people. We are so grateful to have had Kristen as our wedding photographer. She contributed so much to that day, and in the process she and her husband have become good friends to Mike and I both.
