You did it! You have finally found what everyone else in this world longs for – Someone to love forever. And now the searching continues… one for a wedding photographer. How will you ever find someone that you trust enough to capture the most significant and touching day of your life? Fortunately, I know what you are going through. I experienced these same feelings when I got hitched. Being the center of attention that day really put things into perspective for me. It gave me the opportunity to discover what it was like being on the other side of the lens for once. Your wedding day can be overwhelming, but investing in a photographer you trust will go a long way. Knowing that you will have great photos of your wedding day is one less thing to worry about and it will allow you to relax and enjoy a day that is over before you know it.
It may be obvious to you what my style is or you may not even realize that every wedding photographer has their own signature style. Although a small percentage of how my images look are a result of how I choose to edit, most of my style is in the way that I shoot. I hunt for dramatic light, select an appropriate lens, find a flattering angle and let the moments unfold naturally. My goal in every scenario (apart from the formal photos) is to set the scene but allow the day to continue organically. I balance photojournalism with giving my clients direction. I believe that it is my job to guide you but for you to make the moments happen.
Although every wedding is different, I approach every one the same; I go into each wedding day with an open mind, striving to create unique and compelling images that you and your families will fall in love with. I am there to anticipate reactions, find the beauty in every moment and to document the day in a way that you'd wish to remember it. I show up to every wedding with a kind heart, excited to photograph new faces and bask in the love that surrounds me.
Have you been seeing a few edgy couple photos on my website? I definitely love good, raw love. I like to to dress down dressy clothing, show some skin, get up close and personal and bring out confidence in my clients they never knew they had. One of my favourite kinds of photo sessions are getting sandy on the shoreline wearing nothing but a bikini. Who's with me? Take a look at Jess & Riley's Pitt Meadow's couple session or Sabbi and Sven's steamy Mexico shoot to see what I mean.
Honestly, family photography was something I never thought I'd venture into. I believed couples and weddings were my one and only calling but once my husband and I started our own family, this type of photography had a whole new meaning to it. Capturing the relationships between my little guy and his friends and family have been my most cherished images to date.
I approach family sessions very similar to weddings and couples. My goals are to tell a story, showcase relationships and do all of this in a clean, simple and beautiful way. Head over to this Cancun Mommy & Me session to see how I capture authentic moments of family relationships.
I am a HUGE sucker for maternity photos. It's the most magical time both mentally and physically and it deserves to be photographed. My mom has 4 kids and she doesn't have a single photo of herself while she was pregnant. That's nearly 40 months... almost 4 years of growing a child and not one picture of it. I'm the complete opposite. I have a ton of pictures documenting these precious months.
My ideal maternity photo session would be seeing you in a breezy dress or skirt for the first half and then showing off your growing belly for the second half of our shoot. Check out Chey & Shannon's Aldergrove maternity session to see what I mean! I also think at home maternity sessions are pretty amazing as well. There's nothing quite like being in the comfort of your own home, hugging your belly and envisioning what life will be like when baby arrives.

I absolutely love living in Langley. It makes it easy to photograph weddings in Maple Ridge, Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Vancouver, Surrey and White Rock. It is also very painless to hop on the ferry and shoot weddings on Vancouver Island, Bowen Island and the Sunshine Coast. Langley is such a convenient location because it is so central and as a bonus, it's absolutely beautiful here! What more can a wedding photographer ask for?!
What sets me apart from the wedding photographers in Langley is that I like to use dramatic lighting which makes my images really pop and become 3-dimensional. My photography style can often be described as vivid, candid and compelling. My goal at every wedding is to tell a story in the most genuine way. I want my couples to look at their wedding album and remember these moments as raw. My clients always put full trust in me and are confident that I will document their day to my best ability. The wedding pictures on my website reflect what you will receive in your wedding gallery.
I've been photographing weddings all over British Columbia for 6 years and counting. I've worked with close to 100 brides and grooms and still get excited about every single love story. What's your story? Shoot me a message, I'd love to hear all about it!
Burnaby Mountain Centennial Rose Garden is such a lovely wedding venue. It is a gorgeous place to take portrait photos of the bride, groom, bridal party and family formals. They do a really nice ceremony set up with the roses in the background. To make things easy on the wedding guests, a reception can be held at the SFU Diamond Alumni Centre.
This particular wedding of Erin and Matt was on a rainy Vancouver day. The bride and groom were prepared and brought clear umbrellas for themselves and their bridal party. I always suggest to my clients to do this because clear umbrellas don't take away from the colours of the rest of the scene and they allow light to shine through, which is a big deal for a wedding photographer! You can see the rain didn't stop the happily married couple from laughing.
After their rose garden ceremony in Burnaby, we all headed to the Golden Eagle Golf Club in Pitt Meadows for dinner, speeches and dancing. The Golden Eagle Golf Club provided a spectacular meal, with fresh ingredients and lots of flavour. The venue had a gorgeous indoor reception space with a ton of windows and light. The outdoor reception option is also stunning, featuring a lovely platform overlooking a mountainous backdrop.
The Golden Eagle Golf Club is located in Pitt Meadows. Phone #(604) 460-1111 Website https://goldeneaglegolfclub.com/weddingsbanquets.html

Maple Ridge has seriously stolen my heart. The beauty here is jaw dropping and is every wedding photographers dream. Whenever I receive an engagement photography or wedding photography inquiry that is in Maple Ridge I want to scream a little. Maple Ridge offers some of the most incredible locations to take photographs. With countless lakes (Whonnock Lake, Mike Lake, Alouette Lake, Loon Lake and Hayward Lake to name a few!), parks (Golden Ears Provincial Park & Whonnock Lake Park are a couple of my favourites) and hikes, no wonder this place is one of the best places to create wedding photographs! Another reason I love Maple Ridge and the surrounding area so much is because the photo locations are endless. It makes sense that so many destination weddings happen at this picturesque place.
If you are engaged and are looking for a Maple Ridge based wedding photographer, head over to Contact and tell me about your wedding dreams. I would love to help make them a reality.

Weddings at the Rowena's Inn on the River are seriously breathtaking.
I don't know what will make you fall in love with this Harrison Mills wedding venue more, the wedding experience that they offer or your stay. They have a huge pool overlooking the Harrison River where you can choose to get married by. The best part about this venue is the fact that it's a one stop deal. You can get ready, have your ceremony & reception and do all of your bride and groom photos right on property. This is a huge factor when it comes to a smooth wedding day timeline.
If you are planning a wedding at the Rowena's Inn on the River at the SandPiper Resort, I would love to be there to document your day for you. Feel free to Contact me. I would absolute love to hear what you have planned!
