I don't have many regrets in life, but what I do regret is not hiring a photographer to capture the emotional journey it was bringing Enzo into this world. In my opinion, there is really nothing more raw and emotional than a birth story.
My own life experiences always add to the energy I pour into my photographs. Capturing the birth of Fallon Rose was a powerful time for me. I don't think I've cried that much in years.
I get even more excited delivering labour & delivery photos as I do delivering weddings. No moment in life brings as much joy as welcoming a new member to the family. Photographing those first 48 hours of a child's life is so special. The happy tears, the painful tears...the first snuggle...those soft little toes...
Do yourself a favour and be smarter than me; instead of losing out on the chance on having your birth story photographed, just do it.
