Engagement Sessions and couple shoots are one of my favourite things to photograph. I've been shooting engaged couples for over six years now and I still get excited for every one. Sometimes this will be the first time I get to meet my clients. It gives us the opportunity to become comfortable with one another and also gives them the chance to get familiar being in front of my lens. Some of my favourite spots to shoot these sessions are on beaches, in fields and on top of mountains. In home sessions can also be amazing! Every engagement and couple session is a ton of fun. I normally break through every couple within minutes and leave with some pretty great friends.
The lower mainland has unlimited locations to shoot at. Whether it be Derby Reach Regional Park in Langley, on Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver or looking over the Golden Ears mountain in Maple Ridge.
Here is a list of some of my favourite engagement session locations:
Being a Vancouver Island wedding and engagement photographer has taken me all over British Columbia. I photograph most of my engagement shoots in Victoria, Nanaimo, Parksville, Duncan and Courtenay but also travel as far as Ucluelet and Tofino. I do find myself photographing couples in the Toronto and Durham Region area as I grew up in this area. I have also travelled for destination engagement sessions to places like Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic
This collection of engagement and couple photography shows you all of the different ways that we can approach the session. You can keep it casual and walk Rathtrevor Beach, wearing jeans and a tee or you can get all dulled up and stroll around the Parliament Buildings in down town Victoria. Many of my clients like to incorporate the British Columbia mountains in their engagement pictures. Little Mountain is one of my favourite spots to capture the beauty BC has to offer.
I am a Nanaimo based engagement photographer and love photographing engagement sessions in this area. There are a ton of amazing Nanaimo engagement photo locations some of which include Sugar Loaf Mountain, the Nanaimo Yacht Club, Pipers Lagoon, Neck Point, and Old City Quarter.
Victoria offers countless great spots to shoot engagement photos. Why not check out the lighthouse at Fort Rodd Hill, the grounds at University of Victoria, Dallas Road's beautiful views, the gardens at Beacon Hill Park or one of the many west coast beaches?
If you are interested in having your engagement session photographed in the central part of Vancouver Island, you could check out Damali Lavender & Winery, Parksville Community Park, French Creek Harbour or Little Qualicum Cheeseworks,
Where ever you choose, there is beauty, and we will find it.
